Why is ‘Workflow’ all over the news again?
Because someone in Apple decided it is best to acquire a software called ‘Workflow’ and then the world went bat s*** crazy about it and everyone is talking about workflow even the ones who actually don’t know what it is.
What does this mean to all of us working like mad men in the BPM spectrum?
Apple joins the list of companies such as Google which as Tasker and Microsoft with as Flow, but other than that the whole actual BPM community feels it wouldn’t be much of fuzz.
Take a look at this conversation How Does Apple’s Acquisition of Workflow Change the Market Perception/Value of Workflow/BPM? in bpm.com. That gives you a clearer picture of what the whole news means to the actual community of people who really do BPM.
But on the plus side, it is all over the news and the term ‘workflow’ is back in tongues of people. Which means more people will be googling what workflow is and probably all the websites that publish news about Apple will get some decent traffic for the next month or so.
Hoping Apple will make the most of acquisition.
